Advice and Disclaimers
You follow my directions at your own risk!
The forest paths are designated for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders or any combinations of these. Please adhere to these, they are usually clearly marked. Cyclists usually don't have/use bells and particularly at the weekend tear around the place. You really don't want a horse knocking into you and/or cause the horse to throw its rider. For some reason many of the riders don't wear a hard hat.
I use French, Dutch and English names for places as I see fit. No offence is meant. Which language or languages I choose depend on what I most commonly refer to them as or they are mentioned on signposts and maps.
- Wear sensible clothing and footwear.
- Don't leave the path and trample on plants.
- Don't pick flowers or take anything else from the forest.
- Don't litter.
- If you like to wear headphones perhaps the forest isn't the place for you.

- Dogs are supposed to be kept on leads at all times.
- The forest has many not-spots so don't rely on your phone to guide you. Google Maps etc are not at all detailed regarding the myriads of paths either.
- You can download a pdf of a map of the forest from here
